Notes

  1. Pennsylvania has 501 school districts.
  2. This chart uses 1 as most and 501 as least. As an example, the Cheltenham School District had the 15th highest total expenditures average daily membership costs and the Abington School District had the 43rd total expenditures average daily membership costs.
  3. Average Daily Membership (ADM) - Includes all resident pupils for the school district for whom the school district is financially responsible. It is calculated by dividing the aggregate days membership for all children on active rolls by the number of days the school is in session.
  4. Recognize that the Abington School District is larger than the Cheltenham School District.
